It has been suggested that I write about myself. Who am I? I am Canadian. I am a retired English and history teacher. I am a middle aged man. I am lucky enough to be married to a loving, patient lady. I am blessed with good friends. I love convertibles and music. In recent years I have succeeded in becoming an amateur guitarist. I am an outdoors person and I am also pretty fond of a wee dram of a good single malt along with a good book. I am a proponent of the power of positive thinking. It is difficult to write about yourself.Let's move on to something interesting; Why I photograph. I have always had a camera nearby.A love of the great outdoors has led to a passionate pursuit of landscape photography. In the outside world I see peace, violence, symetry and chaos. I am increasingly Interested in architecture. Our planet is a gift we should all cherish and nurture. For myself, its fascinating to try to show our evolution as illustrated byour architecture and creations. The amalgam of science, technology and art that is digital photography fascinates me. Finally I photograph because I must.
This one taken during one very bright and early one early September morning 2013. My good friends Kevin, Mike and myself drove too Blue Rocks Lunenburg County Nova Scotia. As you can see, our hopes and patience were rewarded. Enjoy!
Frankly I cannot remember a time that I did not have a camera nearby. My mother, sister and I all loved to take pictures. I suspect that my love of the outdoors has contributed to my whole hearted pursuit of landscape photography. In the outside world I see peace, violence, symmetry and chaos. I believe our planet is a beautiful gift that we should cherish. This is one of the most important reasons why I photograph. As stated earlier, I am intrigued enough to attempt to show our evolution as shown by our architecture and our other creations. Finally, I photograph because I must and I love to do so. Please enjoy my site.
